Lt. Will Huddler
Lieutenant (Will) Huddler has been with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 14 years.
During his career, Will has been assigned to patrol as a bike officer on Las Vegas Blvd. as well as a traditional patrol officer within various Las Vegas communities. Will worked as a Recruitment Officer prior to becoming a Tactical Training Officer at the LVMPD Police Academy where he instructed high-risk encounters, defensive tactics, use of force and deadly-force scenarios. As a sergeant, he has been assigned to lead teams of officers in patrol, plain-clothes operations and the LVMPD Gang Unit. Additionally, Will previously served as the Executive Sergeant assigned to the Office of the Sheriff of Clark County. As a lieutenant, Will has been assigned to patrol and was a part of the initial group of lieutenants to launch the full-time LVMPD Watch Commander Program. As of September of 2015, Will has been the lieutenant over the LVMPD Force Investigation Team (FIT), a section whose sole responsibility is to conduct the criminal investigations related to the use of deadly force by officers. Additionally, Will instructs in the Nevada POST First Line Supervisor and Management Schools, respectively. He also instructs various course on police leadership to include ‘The Art & Science of Leadership’ and ‘Preservation of Your Moral Compass – Values and Ethics for Police Leaders’.
